13 – 14 – 15 September 2013
Fire – earth – water – air are analysed through the entire ceramic-making process and a bridge is built between prehistoric techniques and more current contemporary art; all set against the stunning open air backdrop of the Faenza hills.

Location: Zauli Museum and Sottosasso ceramics workshop (via Gabellotta 22, Marzeno di Brisighella)
13 September from 9am to 1pm: theory with Matteo Zauli
- guided tour of museum
- presentation of course
- brief journey through contemporary art
Afternoon: guided tour of International Museum of Ceramics
14 September from 9:30am to 11:30pm (with lunch break): practical application with Marco Malavolti at the Sottosasso workshop
- arrival and tour of Sottosasso workshop
- participants learn about basic techniques and create their own small pottery items
- lunch in Brisighella
- finishing off items and glazing
- firing
- picnic on the lawn
- end of firing
15 September from 11am to 1pm: collect ceramics from Sottosasso ceramics workshop or Zauli Museum
- collect pottery
- farewell drinks
